Supply Chain Management, Not Transactional Sourcing

Boardman Apex SCM provides ongoing supply chain management for international businesses sourcing from China.

We manage procurement, production, quality, and export execution as a single, integrated process, acting as an operational extension of our clients inside China.

Our services are structured to deliver control, continuity, and accountability — not one-off supplier introductions.

Engagement Fit

Our services are designed for clients who require ongoing supply chain management, repeat procurement, and professional representation in China.

We are selective by design.

Retainer-Based Engagement

All client engagements are structured under a monthly retainer.

The retainer provides dedicated management capacity and continuous oversight of active supply chains, ensuring that planning, decision-making, and execution are managed consistently and professionally, independent of order timing or volume.

This engagement structure enables proactive supply chain management — allowing risks to be identified early, issues to be addressed before escalation, and activities to be managed continuously rather than reactively.

As a result, we are able to act in the long-term commercial interests of our clients, without incentives tied to short-term transactions.

Commercial terms are confirmed following an initial consultation to ensure scope, responsibility, and expectations are aligned.

Purchase Order Commission

Where we actively manage purchase orders, a commission applies.

Commission reflects responsibility for:

  • Commercial structuring and negotiation

  • Production oversight and issue resolution

  • Quality control coordination

  • Delivery to agreed Incoterms

Commission is applied only to purchase orders under our management and is not charged on advisory work or third-party pass-through services.

Branded & OEM Product Execution

We support the execution of branded and OEM products where clients require strict adherence to specifications, branding guidelines, and intellectual property controls.

Our role includes:

  • Managing factory execution against approved designs and specifications

  • Controlling materials, components, and packaging compliance

  • Coordinating samples, revisions, and pre-production approvals

  • Monitoring production consistency across runs

  • Enforcing quality standards aligned with brand requirements

We do not design products or own intellectual property.
We ensure that approved designs are executed correctly, consistently, and at scale.

Transparency

All third-party services — including inspections, lab testing, and freight — are billed strictly at cost, with no markup.

Fees are defined in advance, with no hidden margins.
